If I'm looking at your design correctly, your indirectly chilling your waterloop which is generally used as an energy storage/buffer in liquid/liquid exchangers for the reasons I explained above.

If you don't need the buffer, some chillers use a direct heat exchanger such as a tube in tube or plate exchanger like these





Either way these are not conducive to a tec chiller.

and im just testing my peltier i have an am3 pii x4 heatsink and a nb cooler with my tec between it went from 20c water to 5c water is this good or bad my rooms about 23c

I know what you're saying. I'm sure the pics are useful to everyone else. I also, know the difference between refrig and pelts. What I was disagreeing with is that the copper isn't acting as an evaporator, the aluminum box and internal heatsinks are. I have a 1 degree delta between my chilled media and the chiller. So it definitely has good heat transfer. There's also 1 degree delta between cpu temp and chiller.

I'm working on making it better under a load, and then will make it more energy efficient.

I am curious about your plate design as I haven't seen them explained, but I also haven't searched for an explanation. So if you've posted it before, feel free to give the link.

I didn't say your copper was acting as an evap. I was explaining that generally a refrig chiller would use the copper coil inside your box as the evap to cool the surrounding water. You could literally just get rid of the copper tubing inside and just use internal heat sinks (evap equivalent as you stated) to cool your resevior directly for example if you want to use a refrig chiller for comparison and use the reservoir water to cool the load



At the end of the day it still becomes a tec chiller sandwiched between a hot and cold plate.

This type chiller has already been done with pretty mediocre results.. here is the tec equivelent of the picture above.

right that heatsink one i just riptied a nb heatsink onto a waterblock with the tec 15c watter cooled the peltier so much i could make snowballs biggrin.gif i mite try that one and then build a real tec chiller like Nastroglide if he dosnt mind me stealing he's idea biggrin.gif

If we're not getting it right with our descriptions, why don't you just do a drawing of your own to set us straight. We haven't seen a single picture or diagram of how your chiller works. Until you do, we're blatently hypothisizing about what is inside.
