Passive Cooled GPU for my System

Thread Starter
I have a:

ASRock Z68M-ITX/HT
i3-2120T

In a Apex MI-008 case.

I need GPU ideas. I am using this for a HTPC but have gotten into a few games that the Intel HD graphics just barley handle.

Basically it needs to fit, run off motherboard power, be single slot, passively cooled and operate with a PSU at or below 250w.

This is where it needs to go:

Both need a 400 watt PSU.

A 7750 does not need a 400W psu.

Ur i3 uses a looooootttttt less power than the AMD 3850 APU too..

single slot as in pcie extension or as in even the heat sink has to be single slot?

Because if it is the latter you aren't going to be able to get a very high performing card.

all of the GPUs you have listed require a 6pin connector. lol
post #7 of 21
You would need a card like a 6450, etc... They cannot play games, if you want games you will need a better PSU and stronger card.

7750 does not require a 6 pin tongue.gif

The other ones could use adapters. Plus I was just naming the ones that would perfectly fine in that system without blowing up the power supply.

Might be able to get away with it sticking out a little bit.

I am just looking for something that will outperform my Intel HD graphics. I know I am not going to get super performance. I have looked around and would rather not pay restocking and shipping fees to return something when I can consult with everyone here on my options.

OK, seriously though his system is limited with that 250W PSU, i would recommend atleast minimum for a 7750 up a 350W.
