Ah.. 400dpi is alright.. but I don't think "THAT" low is necessary.. since it is scaled from 800dpi.

They also cheaped out on the RUBBER grip on the G400 compared to the old mx510 and mx518, the new grip is FAR LESS grippy, and harder to pick up than the old grip.

So.....

I just modded my Mouse to FULL Omron.. tongue.gif Big difference... Everything feels as it should..

note, if you don't have a "solder sucker" don't attempt to "desolder" the switch, the traces are very thin and can easily be burned through. JUST CUT THE SWITCH OUT.. with an exacto knife...

IF YOU HAVE a solder sucker, you're likely pretty experienced, so this should be straight forward.smile.gif

Wow. Nvm on that then. Why the **** is it so hard to find a good mouse nowadays? Nothing fits. Every mouse out has something ******* annoying attached to it.

Definitely let me know. Would you compare the new rubber on the G400 to the rubber on the DA or Zowie?

Yes, wasn't really cost effective on Logitech's part ^^

I believe it was changed during the initial production run of the G400. Modifications here and there coming from the 518. Switches were actually my last concern smile.gif

I put 3 coats on it last night..

Started using it this morning at 9am..

Metallizer Silver Version of Plasti-dip... STUPID freakin' idea..

The Grip aspect works great. However, now my hands are glittery.. and it's all over my mousepad... rolleyes.gif

I saw this coming, but YES, you can definitly use the "regular colored" plasti-dip for better results...

no, it's just that it didn't absorb all the dirt, oil and sweat from your hand yet.
I even bought a MX518 to swap the shells after i read the the grip should be better on the MX518, but it is exactly the same material on the sides.

Without opening it is there a way to tell if yours has full OMRON?

Well, I must say that as long as the side buttons are not rubber dome (like on the G500), I dont really mind.

Still interesting to know, thanks for sharing.
