MSI 990FXA GD-80V2 Vishera Support

Just bought an 8350 and was wondering if the 990FXA GD80 V2 supports that processor? If so, does it ship with a bios that is compatible or will i have to update it?

It will work, however depending on how recently you purchased the board, you WILL need to update the Bios

if you haven't purchased the board yet, i would shy away from that particular board and maybe go for a gigabyte UD5

I ended up buying the MSI board. It came with the bios that supports the 8350 smile.gif

Nice board so far, very happy with it thumb.gif

Ive had some issues with the north bridge multiplier on mine, but the reference clock doesn't mind being played with!

All I can say is that my setup is faster with the north bridge at 2200MHz than anything else, so maybe tweaking that stuff doesn't really matter anyways tongue.gif

dont forget you need to up north bridge volts to be able to get finicky with the fsb however my chip hate fsb ocs
