Oh yea. It's embarrassing that a multi-million dollar company can't write a simple app. Contact syncing doesn't even work on 4.0 and up. They're like screw it if we can't monetize the app like the site then we are going to make it terrible.

That is ridiculous. I think they are taking steps to improve it, though.

Yeah, it is pretty bad. It could be a business tactic to make us use the desktop version for increased income but it's not kind of them to leave people out in the cold, whatever the actual reason may be.

I hope they'll be improving it smile.gif

I can't tell you how bad it is. When any browser, even the crap ones, do a better job of loading facebook than the official Facebook app, you know something's wrong.

Doesn't surprise me though. Facebook killed off group chat (which was nice to have for the NZXT clubs run by OCN folks so I could chit-chat with them) without announcing it, they refuse to make their Android client usable... Now that Zuckerberg is a billionaire, he could care less.

They're actually a multi-billion dollar company, which is even worse.

I read recently that they banned iPhones at the company headquarters and they gave employees Android phones. This was supposed to force staff to use the terrible Android client, give them a taste of their own medicine and make them improve it.

I wouldn't be surprised if that didn't happen and they just said that for the press.
