I don't think most of us think the keyboard makes us better, they just make it more comfortable. Double tapping keys on reds is much more pleasant than membranes. Pro gamers use whatever they have when they suddenly realized they were amazing at a game in most cases, I had to quit counter-strike 1.6 to leave my ball mouse many years ago. ( not that I was pro or anything , just it was what I was pretty good at the game with) And then they get sponsored and use whatever they are told to use lol.
