Thanks,

That's only kinda roughed in, it's not welded yet or anything, as it still needs more stretch . . . but it's easier to do in segments so I know it's fitting and aligning OK as I go.

A normal base set up fits under that 560 stretch pretty well, it has the screws in as it sits . . .

I'd have to modify a front pedestal a bit to fit the modified front portion of the 560 stretch, but it should go much nicer on the 840 stretch.

This is going to be one of those solve the problems as they develope progressions.

Well I hope it'll be able to take the weight, the pedestal. I'm sure you got plan tho, maybe some reinforcing bars running parallel from the front go back, kind of like a stabilizing bar for a car just to give it some more stability.

Exactly,

You can see the aluminum angle along the rad mounting rails.

That will get trimmed, and tucked into the edge cavities, with smaller reinforcing angle stock going along the rad rails.

The welding together to join the sheet metal parts will be much more cosmetic, as opposed to structural.

Ok I will be getting this case soon, I know it comes with 3x 200mm and 1x140mm. Are the included fans good enough? Or should I replace them? If so what would you recommend? I was looking at the Coolermaster Megaflow 200 to replace the 3x 200mm fans. What do you guys think?

They perform pretty well & are very quiet imo.

Well guys I got my gunmetal Phantom 820 as an early X-Mas gift from the wife. She's awesome even though she isn't into pc at all like I am. She still takes the time to listen and remember things when I speak. She knew enough to go on her own to microcenter and pick out the exact color and model case I wanted plus a Bitspower Multi-Z 250 reservoir plus a few Swiftech black compression fittings and alo clear 3/8/" x 5/8" tubing so I can show off the Mayhems Aurora Nebula Blue coolant I have put away!!! And she also ordered me a Cyborg S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 keyboard to match with my R.A.T. 7 mouse. Everything but the case is wrapped up so far. So I'll have to wait like the rest of the lil boys and girls Lol!!! I know I'm spoiled to death!!! The wife and I save up all year longs just so we can spoil the kids and ourselves on X-Mas every year. We still get our kids nice things throughout the year but not anything like on X-Mas. I guess it's because we both grew up in poor families where our parents struggled to pay the bills and couldn't afford to spoil us. So we want our kids to have the things we couldn't have. But only as long as they earn and apreciate them. Anyways here's a quick pic of the Phantom sitting at home waitting for me to rip into her with the jigsaw, dremel, drill and whatever else I think might be fun to use!  thumbsupsmiley.pngI'll be starting a build log asap. I'm still having a hard time deciding on a name for it. Maybe you guys can help me out pciking a name? It is going to be a hybrid supercar themed build inspired by the BMW i8 hybrid. I'm gonna keep the gunmetal finish and am only going to add some carbon fiber throughout the exterior and interior to give it alil pop. I also want to do something alil different from my last build which was "Lethal Threat" This time I want to make it nice and clean, simple and elegant. I want to sjowcae the whole hybrid supercar idea in the case. Show how something can be clean and elegant but still be a raw power packed machine. So I'm going with all non-led fans and am going to set the hue to a bright white just to showcase the interior. No cathodes, leds or led fans. Only light we might see will be from he Avexir ram and maybe the Raystorm Blocks. So any ideas for a name will be seriously considered.

Glad to see you finally got tired of the hospital food and sponge baths and made it home. biggrin.gif

As far as families go, you're one lucky guy.

Now, on your 820 build, have you thought about doing a stretched case mod . . . . . wink.gif

Or am I going to have to do both the 840 stretch and the mini 560 stretch versions . . .

You'll like the 820 to work with, they put a lot of thought into this one.

Go thru my previous posts here for some pics with some 810 parts, and my 820 SLE build log for some good details to keep in mind as you contemplate your build.

I would love to do a streched case. But unfortunately I can't afford it at the moment and am honestly WAY TOO IMPATIENT to wait to save up to buy another care to add. Lol!! Oh and Darlene you know I already subbed all your build logs as soon as you started them!!! I watch what you do very closely if not to try the stuff you do at least to learn from it thumb.gif

I was thinking about something like that for a name. But instead of 820i I was thinking following the BMW i8 hybrid's name and going i820. either way sounds sweet though. Thanks and Good Luck on your build also bro. I'll be watching.
