The light strip on the left, that runs along the top edge and down the side of the door, is the power on light, and it follows the color you set for the other lighting with the hue.

The little tiny light rectangle on top, just to the left of the USB pod, is the HDD led, and mine are fixed color white, which is probably the same for all case colors.

I'm pretty sure they can breed too, if you don't keep an eye on them.

Funny I showed my wife this pic and she says it reminds her of that corny movie the Human Centipede Project. Lol!!! I have no idea where she comes up with this stuff so please don't ask.  kookoo.gif

NZXT has the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a company! Over two weeks ago i ordered a Phantom 820 on NZXT's website. A week and a half later the case still hasnt been shipped so i call the service department and speak to RYan Causim. He proceeds to tell me that they they just received a delivery and that the case would be shipped one or two days, I say ok and wait. 3 days later...I call Ryan Causim from the service department again. He then proceeds to tell me that the case i ordered is backordered and I wont be getting the case until the 29th of December! So i tell him I want to cancel my order, with my intention of buying the case from somewhere that had it in stock (newegg). He says ok, i will cancel your order and give your refund and assures that everything will be taken care of. 3 days later i call Ryan Causim and ask him why i have not yet received my refund, he says it will take a couple of more days. I canceled the order over a week ago week and still have not received my refund!!!! What the hell kind of service department is NZXT running. I have sent multiple emails inquiring about my canceled order and have not received one reply!

I have a feeling they are going to ship out my case as planned and expect me to pay for it to be returned and probably try and charge a restocking fee or some bull****! This is sooo annoying! First and last time I ever buy from NZXT again, despite the quality of their products!

So, how long has it been since you and Ryan spoke about the refund? Because, in my experience in business transactions, refunds can take anywhere from 2-10 days depending on the bank.

Xnine It has been over a week since I asked for my refund. I understand that it takes time for a refund, but he said it would be a couple of days. Had he specified that it would be 2-10 days I would have exhibited a little more patience. And i shouldnt have had to make a thread abut NZXT in order to get a response from NZXT.

Xnine if you had anything to do with my getting a response from NZXT, I thank you! Ryan sent me my refund receipt.

I still bought the case from newegg and it is a great case, I just hope i dont have any real problems and have to deal with customer service for an RMA.

Thanks again

Sam

Hi Sam, I understand the frustration. Things happen, and it's not an excuse in any way, but that's the unfortunate reality. Ryan is a good guy and he stands by his word. In all honesty, it was an accounting issue and not an issue with him. I did speak with him over Skype yesterday and he was pretty unhappy that you hadn't received your refund yet, so I guess he went to accounting and made sure the issue was corrected.

I'm glad it's sorted now. Now you just have to enjoy modding a pretty slick case. smile.gif

Thanks Xnine,

Love the case by the way. Great product, well built. Main reason i bought it was for the integrated lighting, fan controller, and cable management. Plus the good looks.

And thanks for looking into the issue for me. Much appreciated.

Hi All,
First up IT DIVA/Darlene that stretch case is one heck of a build! I will be watching the log with interest (assuming the wight dosent break the work bench first =)

Im looking to buy the White 820 for my new build and since its my first foray into true full towers I wanted to ask a few dumb questions, its a big decision for me in every sense of the word and I want to go in with all the info.

First up, are the fans that ship with the case enough to keep a SLI/CF setup at least decently cool (680/670/7970s) or should I save a bit on shipping and order a few 120/200mm when I buy? Also if I do eventually manage to fill the fan slots (ignoring side fans) is the fan controller powerful enough to keep up with demand?

Secondarily this is a little off topic but does anyone know if there are fans available capable of using the HUE RGB system and changing colour or failing that where I can get my paws on some of the lighting used in the case construction. I would love to be able to kit it out in some stupidly gimmicky back lighting system when I get board down the track just to show off the behemoth.

I also wanted to ask now that you guys have pulled them apart and likely slipped with a screwdriver at least once, how is the finish holding up especially on the plastic elements? Every review I have seen has mentioned such at least once I would feel remiss unless I asked someone with real modding exp while I could.

This is also a question about the overall cooling capacity of the case, im looking for a gut call here since I keep getting wildly variegating reviews depending on the reviewer/site I visit. This assumes ill be sticking in a CUP cooler like a H100.

Does the case yet ship with screws sufficient to hold a SSD/2.5,? I would take to have to jerry-rig one of the more critical components from the get go since a SSD is all ill be using out of the box.

PS: K3nny why is your case upside down? It was bugging me that something was 'wrong' with that pic and it took me ages to work it out! =)

Ok thats all the stupid questions I could come up with so far
Thanks in advance for any answers,
Joel
