Glad I'm not the only one!

But yeah I can open it like you said, just doesn't feel good when pulling it like that, feels wrong and its gonna snap or something (that's just me being over-careful though)

Here's my build so far, got it up and running, but it's all going to be torn down again come this tuesday to install a new XT45 360MM ontop, a XT45 240MM on the bottom and I'm also going to throw a waterblock on the 690.

The 360MM XT45 was sort of a compulsive buy. Now that I've thought it through, it doesn't seem like I'll be able to do push/pull with such a thick rad. It may get in the way of my CPU 8 Pin connection on the mobo. I guess I'll have to wait to find out.

You can do a push/pull with the xt45 360, there's enough room for the 8 Pin. I measured it on mines & plan to add a couple fans for a push/pull also.

You got a pretty good rad there as is, but I know how it is when it comes to compulsive buys biggrin.gif

the raystorm, yeah technically it doesnt light up. But it comes with LED's and LED holes milled into the sides, so you can stick them in and have it glow.

How have peeps got their fans setup on this case?

I'm about to get a few extra fans and wondered what others are doing

At the moment mine is 200mm + 120mm as exhaust in top, back exhaust for cpu cooler
front and side intake

Planning to venture into watercooling...is it optimal to put the radiator in the bottom under the HDD cages and put the fans as intake or exhaust?

GPU block + second rad installed. Also switched my waterblock from a raystorm to an EK supremacy (less bow = better for LGA 2k11)

Ah, yeah pull to the side just far enough to get a finger in the top gap (hold your other hand under the front or be dinged!) and wiggle up and down a couple times, should come right off.
My left side panel was doing fine while building on Tuesday til the end. Couldn't get the center screw latch thingamabob to push down / release, so I unscrewed it until I heard *sproing! ping, ping!* Turns out the bottom pin was broken, so when I gave it enough room it flew away. Found the pin in the bottom of the case, and the spring... inside the power supply. Hoping I can get nzxt to send a replacement little plastic doohicky smile.gif That's one part it seems ought to be made of metal though, or maybe with a single metal post that runs all the way through. Minor thing, really.
The unhappy part of the build was figuring out why the front panel usb 3.0 connector was loose: one of the pins on the motherboard was broken off and lodged about midway down. At least all the routing is already done and ready for a replacement motherboard, heh.
