Technically, because they're RGB LEDs, the color white isn't possible. The closest thing you're gonna get to white is probably a purplish white. (As you might be aware, RGB LEDs are really three separate LEDs embedded in one that combine to produce certain colors.)(Except of course green, red, and blue, then the two other LEDs simply aren't used, as far as I know.)

i dont know if this works for you since my region is in asia but the support team left me his/her email add to contact him/her if any other complications occur. Here's his/her e-mail lauren.kim@nzxt.com

They actually sent you a replacement of those usb connectors? My whole case was custom sleeved but apparently the wires were very weak to be hooked up and lights were glitchy so i had a hunch i would have to replace the whole thing. My other case is still sitting in the other room to be shipped. Guess i gotta contact RMA again.

Not true. My Phantom 820 does white just fine. So do the Kraken units and Hues

White light can be formed by mixing differently colored lights; the most common method is to use red, green, and blue (RGB)

By technological limitations, RGB LEDs cannot form 'true white light', you just see the combination of three colors as white. Hue is the same, not sure if the Kraken units use RGB or not. Pretty sure they're WLED (pure white light).

If someone were to mix a WLED into the already stuffed 5mm diameter RGB LED, true white light COULD be produced, but I'm pretty sure such an LED does not exist as of yet.

If you're trying to say that technically they can't form true white, at a scientific level, sure, fine. Can the human eye distinguish? No. They use Superflux LEDs which are much better at color variation and temperatures (or Hue, get it, nyuk nyuk) than standard 3mm/5mm LEDs.

Mine does white pretty good there is some tint of green/purple in mine but I did find something out.

If you hold the button that changes the colors on your 820 it goes to the whitest white perfect when you need to see something in you case or just want the color white.thumb.gif

Yes, this is what I meant, and to be honest, I can't get a white that looks exactly pure. *shrug* I can get a white that looks perfectly white on the front panel (the two light bars (whatever material that is, it diffuses LEDs so well)) but if I look directly at the main Hue strip in the inside, I can see individual colors somewhat distinctively.

Woah! Did not know that. Was always wondering why you could press it down.

New updates for my First time build and WC:

Finally the first batch of the WC arrives today!

Preparing the 360 rad, cleaned the inside with hot water and got rid of unwanted residue and was about to mount the fans on it but got a call for work so..no mounting lol

Im having a small problem regarding the mounting of the fans on top of the case and the rad below, seems like the screws from the case which is used to screw the fan unto the rad doesnt seem to fit on the screw holes of the rad, and the srews that comes with the box of the rad cant reach the screw holes of the rad...im trying to have a push/pull configuration and the the setting while mounting the rad on top is the fan on top of the case and rad below but the screws that comes from the case doesnt fit to the holes of the rad..and the screws from the rad couldnt reach the holes of the rad...any suggestions please? what type and length of screw is needed? i guess ill have to visit my local home depot ><<br />

EK 360 XTX? I used the 360 XT, and I used the included M3 35mm screws to mount the fans and radiator to the top, and the M3 30mm screws to mount the fans to the radiator from below. I used washers on the top to space it out enough to ensure that the screws weren't going to push through into the radiator.

Hi guys, thank you for your help with regards which direction to mount a fan in the 'swing arm' inside the case. Stupidly I forgot to take any photos when I was inside the case (doh!) but I do still intend to post a couple when I get chance. I have a six week old baby and a cat so I was taking advantage of the half hour that my wife, son and cat were all out of the house to add the fan and tidy my cables a touch more, in my haste I totally forgot photos! To be honest they won't be that exciting compared to the amazing projects some of you are up to. Not a modification or water cooling loop in sight I'm afraid.
I have to say that after another 'play' inside the case I absolutely love it, so spacious and organised. My last build (or technically part one of this build I suppose as I've simply moved everything into this new case) was inside a Silverstone Grandia 05. My initial plan was to build a £300 HTPC. Then I read articles on the benefits of PC gaming and the idea of building a gaming HTPC soon became attractive. Needless to say £300 soon became £1100...
Since the initial build I added another HDD and swapped my 560ti TOP for a 670 FTW Signature 2. Things were getting really cramped.
When playing Far Cry 3 the graphics card would ramp up to approx 80% fan speed and hit about 78 degrees. Due to worries of reducing longevity of my hardware I decided to finally buy the case I had coveted since it came out and boy am I glad I did.
My graphics card now chills out at approx mid 60s for both fan speed and degrees when playing Far Cry 3, my mobo is apprpx 20 degrees cooler in general use and my CPU sits around 50 degrees at full load (prime 95).
I'll try and upload a picture of my old rig just to give you all a laugh (I say try, I'm on my phone and not the most proficient at using forums). This photo was prior to adding the 670 and the second HDD. Note the Antec Kuhler 620 rad mounted outside the back of the case and being held in place by cable ties...
