[Build Log] Fractal Design Node 304 - Page 4

Excellent log - many thanks and very helpful.

I pulled the trigger on a Node 304 for my new htpc mini itx setup per below:

Silverstone Strider Plus 600W ST60F-P (Modular)
Corsair Force Series GT 60GB SSD
G.Skill Ares F3-1600C9D-8GAO 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
ASRock Z77E-ITX Mini ITX Motherboard
Intel Core i5 3470
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1GB OC
2TB Western Digital Green HDD

My question is: give that Silverstone PSU and my grpahics card GTX 650TI, do you think i'll have problems with cable management/getting it all to fit?
I deliberately didn't get a big graphics card as my needs don't need super power graphics so hopefully it'll all fit!

Appreciate your thoughts.

I think you'll be able to get it all to fit, but I couldn't be sure. My PSU is tiny in comparison.

There has been some discussion about what will fit in here. http://www.overclock.net/t/1266342/fractal-design-node-304-new-itx-case/

Also how long is the 650 Ti?

Edit: Nevermind, just looked it up. The card is short, you shouldn't have a problem.

EDIT #2: I really gotta stop confusing this thread with my own.

@aadk: whats your opinion on your silverstone psu?
i know, that it is one of the few options to use, but i fear that it is simply to noisy.

Mounting the Noctua's. You can't use the rubber mounts that come with the fans because the fans kind of sit in a weird place and I couldn't fit my hand to grab the rubber thing. Who knows, maybe if you have smaller hands than me then you would be able to use it haha

I was able to mount Noctua fans with the rubber mounts. It was very difficult to do, and my finger tips are on fire from doing it. It requires A LOT of patience. I ended up tearing/snapping one of the mounts rolleyes.gif

Does anyone know if Noctua replaces these for free? I was shocked by how easily it broke.
