What are the most stable/ best performance drivers for Gigabyte 7950

Thread Starter
I was roughly skimming the forum here but did really find anything aimed in this direction in the threads. Was curious what drivers people were having success with. Im only curious to get feedback from 7950 owners. I know theres all these new beta drivers and such but Id like to get one solid driver to use until AMD pulls their heads outa their butts and releases a really solid new driver.

What are you talking about? I have never had a drive issue with AMD or with Nvidia. Aimlessly bashing their drivers is silly in my opinion. Also, if you looked at the front-page in the last three weeks you would have seen that AMDs drivers have increased performance by quite a bit. To the point where the 7970 tops the gtx 680 in quite a few tests. Maybe you should pull your head out of your nethers and pay attention.

Hey mate.

Sorry I am not an owner but I would like to tell you that the driver experience always changes from a setup to a setup.

Even if we both have the exact same setup, we could have different experience with the same driver.

Best is to test yourself.

Unless there is a known issue globally with a certain driver of course.

I'm running sapphire hd 7950 at first I was using 12.8 and it ran so beautifull and gave me sexy fps at 1000/1425 mhz, then I heard about 12.11 beta giving fps boost..I installed it last night and tested it on all my games..bf3 ultra settings 1920x1080 avg 70 fps, guildwars2 90 fps avg etc....

never had any problems with amd gpu and nvidia gpu and I used both....could be my comp skill I dunno lol...

RIght, ignorance, AMD takes its time puts out arguably one of its absolute best drivers and you are basically calling them crap. Why do you have an AMD card then, hell an AMD cpu? Why not just avoid the "crap" and sell off your 7950 and grab an Nvidia card.
