paracord sleeve for DQRP6435's colossus

hello guys!
well ive sleeved a few things before.... but this was my first go with paracord and on top of that i decided to go heatshrink-less.
i started out by watching a couple videos... and its actually quite easy...

so here we go!

PYMBZ.jpg
-purchased wire, pins and connectors from Frozen... paracord from shoprobbys.com

EC5o8.jpg
-crimped pins... ready to sleeve

kTY4J.jpg
-simple process, just know that paracord snaggs EASILY so youll have to cover the pins with tape... i recommend putting the heatshrink on BEFORE putting the pcord on the cable... when you do the heatshrink you want to melt. try not to burn it too bad and rotate the cable around... once its nice and hot, (carefully) squeeze the end in a circle and form the melted plastic inside... then after cooling remove heatshrink with knife (do be careful for yourself and your project)

-finished after removing the heatshrink. this forms a bond to the connector if done properly...

-24pin half way done....

--After about 28 hours later...--

Tip: the best way to work with paracord: you need mechanic gloves to proctect your hand.biggrin.gif
