Attempting to send results?

Thread Starter
+ Attempting to send results from past 3 work units. The FAH program keeps folding WU's but will not collect and receive at the server.

I have been patient on this for the last couple weeks knowing that from time to time there maybe problems at the other end? I checked for server faults and found none.

I recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, has anyone had any known issues with IE7 & Folding? I wonder if there are any issues with the Windows Live One Care, Windows Defender, Win Patrol Explorer. Everthing has worked fine for months until I installed IE 7? I hope someone else has some feedback?

Anyways here are some of my recent log entries should anyone care to chime in on this one...

I know you may not want to hear this: I had the same problem. I contacted Taeric and he was quick to respond. Unfortunately I had to re-install F@H

I would contact an Admin first.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to ya. I got caught up reading another post.

Well I suppose I will PM Taeric then and see whats going on with it. If I need to reinstall then oh well since my main rig crashed my folding has dropped of from the 80's to 165 th place I need to get serious again about folding maybe this will motivate me again?

thanks

As long as it's downloading new work, just let it go. Sometimes the servers hiccup and don't accept WUs for a while. The program will keep attempting to send it, and it will eventually go. I've had this happen maybe a half dozen times in the last couple of years, and it usually resolves itself in a day or two. It took about three weeks on one rare occasion, but even that time it did go on its own (and completed/sent maybe 20 WUs back before that one went).

If the whole system has stopped folding then you may need to clear out your folding directory, but otherwise the problem is almost certainly at the other end of the connection.

Also, there is one more thing to note. Myself and Fishie were having this same problem, only to find out that all of the work units that were supposedly not sent, actually were! This happend on Fishies first two units I believe, I told him to go check the F@H website, and sure enough, his points were already posted for both work units. I really wouldnt worry about it, check the website and see if you have already gotten your points. This seems to be a common problem.
