Looking for a good motherboard.

Hi again smile.gif

I am looking for a motherboard recommendation for my E8400 Core 2 Duo.

Requirements:
Capable of running 2x 2gb gtx 560 in SLI mode.
Capable of at least 32GB memory.
With Sata 3 support.
Optional, overclock friendly.

I know I need a LGA P45 chip but I couldn't find one with all these features. I hope anyone of you can help me out here.

Thanks in advance.

32 GB of RAM with a C2D? Really?

According to Wikipedia, the maximum RAM supported by any Core 2 chipset is 16 GB.

You probably won't find a board with all of the things you're looking for.

Sata 3.0 came out after p45 boards were no longer being made.

@Kota, I'm not really sure about the max memory being hardware (chipset) limited. I think those calculations were made based on the maximum size of the DIMMs at that time. With the new 8GB DIMMs coming out 4x8gb is possible i would think.

What are you going to use this machine for? Are you planning to upgrade to SLI 560s or do you already have the parts?

The 8400 would be the bottleneck in games long before the GPUs. You should look at a whole system upgrade.

Ok Sata 2 will do just fine too I won't mind adding a ssd to improve the speeds and or a pci sata card.
I am actually planning to get a new system by December or January, but I want to upgrade this c2d to its max before.
I am a 3D Artist and work with 3d, vfx and video editing software. I need the ram specially for the video editing part, specially Adobe premier and after effects.
I have one point of view gtx 560 2tb, and I will get one more if it improves the performance.
Gaming in not my main concern.
I will do most of my work on my new pc and will be using this older one mostly for rendering purposes.
