Asus VE278Q Mini DP - DP

Hy guys ive been using a 7970 with mini display port connections and the new monitor im getting (Asus VE278Q) comes with a display port if im correct they are exactly the same signal just a different connection,

If I use a Mini DP to DP adaptor that should be fine right? Could just use DVI connection but Display Port is better isnt it?

HELP?

You can use a Mini DP to Full Size DP cable... no need for adapters...it is a cheaper and more reliable connection.
