Gigabyte 7950 idle at 50c??

Just got a Windforce 7950 and the damn thing is idling at 50c? Can anyone shed some light onto why this is happening. Stock volts are .943, are they suppose to drop during idle or is it only core clock that drops?

**edit - I connected my tv to the card through HDMI and the temps went down by 10c. Is it the high res of the Yamakasi 2703 causing this? Is anyone else experiencing this issue with their cards?

Well, 40C seems okay if your voltage stays at .943 when idle. In fact, it should go down to 0.8v when idle.

At .943 it stays at 50c, not 40c. It only goes down to 40c if I chance the res to 1080p at which point it will properly downclock to 300mhz on the core and .8v but I obviously dont want to keep the res at 1080p.

Edit - Solved, I rolled back to 12.8, anything after that it get the issue. Guess I'll wait for a more stable release.
