Best FPS Mouse?

I know this question is kind of subjective, but what would you say is the current best FPS mouse is, ignoring any price constraints.

I've been using a Death Adder (latest version) for about 6 months now. A few days ago I picked up a Lachesis to try something new. I didn't really like the grip of it. I tried using it for about 10 hours of gaming and couldn't get it to work for me.

The z-axis issue on the Lachesis was noticeable, but I don't think it really affected things to much. It only moved the cursor a small amount and it's not like I'm trying to be super precise when lifting the mouse, its usually because I'm making a big turn.

Also my Death Adder makes the cursor jump around a bit when I lift it unless I lift perfectly straight.

I have a Razer Goliathus Control edition mousepad, but I'm probably going to get a Destructor or something soon.

I'm kind of a medium sensitivity player, but I don't like to move my arm while gaming. I generally just lift the mouse a little and move my wrist.

I play CoD at 6 Windows sensitivity, 1800 DPI, and 2-2.5 in game sensitivity.

Personaly, I have had problems with razer mice. Weather there buggy or just plain suck. Their keyboards are another story. If your looking for a good fps mouse, then go the steel series sensi or the roccat kone +.

I'm considering the 2012 Mamba. Anyone have experience with this?

Still have the lift off issue, so consider something else if you are lifting your mouse frequently.

The cursor moves when you lift the deathadder because of the lift off distance being slightly high. If you like the shape of the deathadder you could go for the zowie ec1/ec2 evo that have a very low lift off distance, so the cursor won't move around.

Just keep in mind that you can only choose between 450(460)-1150-2300dpi levels

A lot of the reviews I read of the Mamba said that it tracks really well and I didn't see anyone saying anything about the z-axis problem. I thought that maybe the second sensor might help with the problem.

And Razer hasn't released any type of firmware update to combat this issue? It seems like something they could at least try to fix it, maybe check for sudden movements slightly down and to the right when the mouse is lifted (seeing as they have a sensor to check when the mouse is lifted).

I'm really a slave to Razer for peripherals, blue LED's are one of my many weaknesses.

I'm going to return the Lachesis after work today, and I've been considering picking up a different mouse while I'm there.

I've been considering the Logitech G9X, G500, and Corsair M60, but I feel like they won't match my BW Ultimate as elegantly as that Mamba would. Plus the shape is quite familiar.

Also one my issues with the Death Adder is that the sides are kind of slippery, so the integrity of my grip may occasionally be compromised when I lift, something that the Mamba has countered through the use of rubber grips on the side.

Would the z-axis issue on the Mamba be better, worse, or the same as the it was on the Lachesis? The issue with the Lachesis for me was more with the shape than the sensor.

Logitech G700, easily.

All you need is some sand paper and you will love your deathadder. I had put some athletic tape on the sides of mine, but finally got around to sanding and it is no longer glossy. If you want I can post a picture tonight. The DA is really about as good as they come, as far as LoD have you tried the tape trick?

Not sure how a laser sensor will work on your goliathus, I know my Kone+ gets some skips on my QCK+

the problem with the sensor exists for sure. however people are unlikely to admit that the mouse has this (ridiculous) problem because they paid a whole lot of money for it, and they don't want to look like fools for buying it....

G400 is the best I have used so far. Easy to configure and a highly accurate sensor. Love it for FPS games.

So I'm looking for something that I could pick up from NCIX when I go today...

Also I'd like something that would be an improvement over the Death Adder that I already have.

I find it difficult to not buy a mouse that glows blue...
