Why?

I hate the interface and the road that Microsoft is going down (total unification of an ugly front end for your phone, tablet, gaming console, and desktop) and I will not give them any money.

There is currently ZERO performance improvement for gamers between a FRESH AND TOTAL reinstall of Windows 7 and a fresh install of Windows 8 aside from booting up speeds. CURRENTLY the only speed differences for games is because people have been running their OS for a year or two and ANY operating system will run faster when it is first installed.

So no, I'm not paying $40 for an UGLY operating system that offers me little or no benefit to my gaming experience right now, and realistically only PROMISES maybe a 5-10% benefit by SP1 in a year or so.

And before you say it ... DON'T. I've been using Windows 8 for about 9 months now. I've been a member of MSDN for the past 19 years.

I've been on Windows 8 for a couple of months now lol. I'll switch to the full version around Christmas when I get some money. Win 8 runs great and feels a lot faster than 7. I haven't had any game compatibility problems.
