Not sure what you mean by there is no issues with corners... I have Windows 8, I use it everyday. It's definitely not for me, lol.

I did a fresh install with Win 8 ultimate as we got a couple of free copies through our work MSDN account. Overall i am fairly impressed. I installed an app that gave me some semblance of a start bar, and the task manager is light years ahead of the win 7 version. Also windows security essentials is actually a viable anti-virus now and DOESNT block every program known to man. Which is nice.

I can move the mouse to either corner and pull the menus just fine

why people are saying the corner issue with multi monitor is an issue is beyond me
post #574 of 711
Did fresh install of Windows 8. So far the only problem i'm having is the drivers for my ATI card are a little buggy. Multi monitor works well, and enjoy the new task manager. Not many compatibility issues either, can run all of my original software without any problems.

It's not that it's an issue. I just don't like the corner aspect in general and it's made worse on multiple displays cause every monitor can do the corner thing.

only your left monitor and left corner and right monitor and right corner. The center monitor acts as no corner. it's the same as just 1 monitor's left corner/right corner.

you shouldn't have every monitor doing it. just left and right

I love hearing this, especially from people who have clearly NEVER used it and only seen the Metro Start screen. That's really the ONLY thing about Win8 that qualifies as something that's better suited to a tablet. The OS itself is an improved version of Win7 in my usage experience.

EDIT: Just realized my avatar is pretty much my response to the quoted posted...

Bought a g75 with win8 on it. Hated it. Installed win7. Will probably never install it on any of my machines ever again. For me, it is like vista all over again and I just want to skip this one. I just hope they don't force me into it with DX12 =[
