Just to shed a little light on the government and how they are ALSO BREAKING THE LAW in this who situation.

Yeahhhhhh hiring non partial judges on the federal level actually falls under the DOJs jurisdiction. They are breaking their own laws.
Look, here is the reality of things. Artists, software makers, who ever else that you can pirate stuff from all need to eat. I am sure that they would also like to live in a home and possibly support what ever family they have. That is why I believe that media should not be 100% free and that pirating at it very core is bad.
However, things like what the DOJ tries to do is simply stupid. It is not going to work, and quite frankly, if they want to take him to court, he will become a martyr if he already isn't one.
It is almost like the sand in the hand paradox. The harder the government tries to prevent file sharing, the more legal it will become because people will just start routing their IP address to a country where it IS legal to torrent or what have you, and simply avoid the laws altogether.
Plus, Mega upload did illegal things, but it wasn't designed to be an illegal site. I honestly have no freaking clue why the government tried to go after mega upload so hard when pirate bay does a lot worse than them, and they have barely been effected.
Again, I am not condoning pirating, but I am pissed off about how ass-backwards the government is handling things.
