ok, so i need you tech savvy peoples help.
a few days ago, my sound card, a Creative XFi Titanium (not HD, not Fatal1ty, just titanium), started acting up. It wouldn't push sound into the speakers on my gaming rig. (gaming build = Driftingnfsc3's System)
I then restarted my computer to find out that the device would not show up at all in windows device manager.
Here is a list of what i tried already:
now here is the part where I am confused. In the other 2 computers, the sound card not only shows up, but pushes sound to my speakers just fine. Also, the sound card that came with my motherboard WORKS without any issue!! The clear CMOS and reinstalling windows without any updates didn't work.
I thought to myself: is there some kind of conflict software related? However, the card doesn't show up when any drivers are installed and it can't be hardware conflict since my rig hasn't been modified in ages, yet the issue is occurring only recently.
The other 2 rigs general specs (if it helps):
HTPC:
Old Computer:
Also, both these rigs don't have a raid array, while the gaming rig has 2 RAID 0 arrays. Not sure if it matters.
I really don't know what's the issue here...only thing i can think of is if the bios of the graphics card or sound card got updated magically causing some sort of conflict.

- Clear CMOS (usually works when things don't show up)
- Reinstalled Windows without any updates except for service pack 1
- Put the sound card in 2 other computers
- Tried the sound card that came with my motherboard (PoS MSI Quantum Wave)
