Need advise on 3D monitor for 5870

Thread Starter
I am looking at buying a new monitor for 3D gaming and movies. I am still using my 5870. Can anyone give me some advise on which one to go for? I am looking for 23" to 27". I currently have a 23" Samsung Syncmaster.

On the side note, I am also thinking of either going for a nicer 3D monitor or buying two more 23" monitor to use the eyefinity on my 5870. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. thumb.gif

Budget? anything you would prefer than others?

I thought ATI graphics cards cant have 3d vision games to run, you will require nvidia, or am I wrong?

The Samsung 120hz displays support AMD 3D and all Passive 3D displays do too...but a single 5870 is way, way to too low for 3D gaming and 3x1080p eyefinity configurations.

I totally agree with your post. I would suggest maybe upgrading your graphics card first before trying to go into 3d gaming or x3 1080p configs.

Thanks guys for all the advise, I think I will hold off on getting to eyefinity and 3D. In the mean time, I think I will get the VG23AH since it is on sale and also with a $20 rebate smile.gif The price its too attractive to pass on.

and not use 3d until you've upgraded?
