Much better buy.

  1. For the OS transfer to SSD just shrink and backup the current OS partitions
  2. disconnect the HDD and restore them to the SSD
  3. then plug back in the HDD
  4. then delete the OS partition and if you have one the system reserve on the HDD in disk management
  5. expand the HDD partitions if you have any or create a new one.
