Honestly, I can't tell what you're trying to do with the computer. You seem to be spending in all the wrong places (overspending on supporting components like PSU, Case, cooling, motherboard at the expense of core components like CPU & GPU). Unless your plan is to put together an overclocking 'trainer' - a cheap throwaway system you intend to burn out playing around overclocking with really high voltages in preparation for further overclocking on a new 'real' rig - your build makes no sense from a price/performance stand point.

For most people, a much better upgrade plan would be to stick with the computer you have now and upgrade to a new system all at once. And pick much different components. If you'd like help putting together a computer with higher performance for the budget, let us know what your purposes are (what you want the computer to do, being specific as possible with which components, what graphics quality you're aiming for if a gamer, whether overclocking for fun or just sheer performance is the core goal, etc), what your needs are (windows? peripherals?), and what you won't need (already have HDD? SATA DVD-burner? Monitor? Be as specific as possible).

Well the thing is that I don't really have a computer right now. Right now I have an old HP a6330f that only has an upgraded gpu (ASUS GT520 Silent) which is not very high end at all.

That's basically what I'd have to do anyway. The moment that I switch to the proc I'd have to throw out the mobo, ram, & psu with it. Basically I make $87.72 a week and I'm an avid gamer. Looking for a 1080p comp that can handle virtually anything on the market right now, which was the reason for the GTX480, probably the best card at/under $200. It's not that I wouldn't rather go for the all-at-once plan, it's that I don't have the income to do all of that at once without saving up for a couple months. Minus the $300 eventual water loop.

So, my order would probably be Case>Mobo/CPU/PSU/Ram>GPU>Water Cooling.

As you can see, I'd have to buy the Mobo, CPU, PSU, & Ram all at once since none of my current PC is compatible.

I already have a 500Gb 7200 rpm drive, 23" 1080p monitor, naga epic, and the keyboard that came with the hp (eventual blackwidow ultimate). The HDD already has Win7 installed and since the previous mobo would be tossed I wouldn't have to worry about the key problem because it just wouldn't show up again (I have the actual disc, not OEM, ie clean install).

Basically I need all new insides and case. I'd love to just chuck it and start fresh, but a rolling start is what I have to do given my current income.

TLDR

Budget is $750 max, purpose is gaming, only need hardware and case.

So basically what you should do is:

#1) Throw out the water loop
#2) Take price/performance into account
#3) Don't go with something old, hot, and noisy like the 480

Why?

There's no point in an expensive water loop if you care at all about performance - at least in this budget range.
Skimping on case/PSU allows you better important components faster.

For example, in your situation I'd recommend this:

Case/PSU:
Bit Fenix Merc Alpha ($37)
Antec Neo Eco 450c ($37)
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=63256&vpn=BFC%2DMRC%2D100%2DKKX1%2DRP&manufacture=BitFenix
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=63256&vpn=BFC%2DMRC%2D100%2DKKX1%2DRP&manufacture=BitFenix

CPU/Mobo/RAM:
Pentium g850 ($65)
Asrock H61M ($47)
Geil 2x4gb 1333mhz RAM ($29 after promo code)
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=61142&vpn=BX80623G850&manufacture=Intel&promoid=1388
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157315
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820144543

GPU:
Sapphire 7850 ($177 after rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202004

Your total cost this way is $392 (roughly, specials change after all), and you get a powerful gaming computer faster. It may not be the snappiest with BF3 64-player multiplayer maps, but it should do swell for pretty much anything else. Then, much later, instead of foolishly blowing money on water-cooling, you can choose to upgrade your screen or get a quad-core CPU, or whatever.

I have the GTX 480 with a 620 attached, its a dream compared to stock cooling! Its nice but the wattage that the 480 demands is not worth it compared to the newest generation of Nvidia Gpus. Get a 6 series and then dwood mod it and you will be great.

Why not look to the new Vishera FX?
The FX-4300 should outperform a stock 960T in single and multi-threaded scenarios while consuming less power - and this may stay true during an OC. There is also the FX-6300 for just a little bit more, where you're definitely going to see some wins. Vishera/AM3+ represents one of the most balanced platform choices at the moment.

Considering the point of buying a 960T is to unlock it this statement is very wrong.

I do agree with that an FX 6300 may be the best choice if the money is there.

^ Not all "unlockable" processors are guaranteed to unlock. It's a fact of buying. A lot of people may buy a 960T to unlock. But most should have bought it for the fact that it was a more sensible processor choice in its day when it provided 95 watts of E0 revision quad core for about a hundred bucks and was a better buy than Deneb.

Sorry about the long pause guys, no Internet at home for the time being (changing soon). Anyway, currently Mister Fred's build is the most appealing, minus the Pentium (I'd be willing to spend the extra for the hyperthreading of the i3s, 2120 or 3220). Would probably only switch the case for a 912 (bandwagon much?) because of its versatility and appeal.

And xd_1771 is right about the 960T. I'd love a cheaper 6 Core, but it has other benefits that would make up for it being only 4.

Anyone wanna try to sway my opinion in any specific direction away from Mister Fred's?
