that board resets fairly easily...turn psu off, unplug power reset jumper for about ten secs and then restore...And yes @ 250 you will be @ 1000 even. Most of the time that board will reboot for you and let you back into bios for a reset

Most MB can do 1080 and some even more (stable) but it's irrelevant... the extra bus speed is never used.

I have an A8N32SLI-Dlx so the bios should be close if not the same. I got my 3700+ to 2.7mhz without any trouble.

In CMOS go to advanced/cool n quiet and make sure it's disabled.
Then go to advanced/CPU Config/Memory settings/Memory Config and change your mem clock down (166mhz or lower at this point).

OCZ is good memory, it should be able to clock really high, especially if you loosen the timings just a little.

Hey IcedEarth, hopefully referencing this post will help you find the memory dividers, just as a note, your options should be something along the lines of 200, 166, 133, etc, etc. Here is a post with the bios screen open that shows the memory dividers on an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe, courtesy AlexisD

http://www.overclock.net/1425463-post6.html

Please note that the dividers are actually under the NORTH BRIDGE SETTINGS!

266 should be good...and yes that is your divider icedearth.... As I stated earlier it runs 200,266,333,400. You should eventually be able to have your oc and run your memory @ the 333...perhaps that could be a "Goal" to acheive.... I never had that ram but my ram is running @ 276...so perhaps you might make a 1:1 ratio in the future...And to compaddict you can flash that deluxe to a premium board if you wanted.<<<didn't notice the a8n "32" oops
~~edit~~ and by 276 I mean that is the half speed real speed equates to 552
