So maybe if i up the vcore to 1.5? or could i get there if i just use the timings? if you have any suggestions as to what to set em at...im at 2.5/3/3/5 2T @ 200mzh divider

Thanks, Iced

2.68 x 11 = 2948fsb
200 divider x (268x2) = 536

Am I doing something wrong? I double checked the figures with A64info and you have to double the memory speed to get the correct number right?

You can correct me if I'm wrong, that's how I learn.

no the board has different style dividers....200=100 266=133 333=166

~~edit~~ so 268 split = 134

Ok, you have it backwards. The highest divider I have is 250 which is for ddr500 (Double Data Rate 2x250=500MHz). For ddr400 it would be set stock @ 200 (2x200=400MHz) As the FSB goes up, so does the memory which is why you have to divide it.

In this case, a 3700+ Sandy is stock 2200MHz (200x11) with memory clock @ 200 which gives you ddr400. Now Iced said he is running @ 2950MHz with stock volts (268 x11). So with a 200 setting, it would be 268x2=536Mhz

These may explain it better:

I have the same board and my ram is set at 333...the dividers are set up different...200 is real time NO times 2..333=166 my ram is set at 333 in bios here's a cpuz of my oc ATM...as you can see 312x166 = 255 give or take. My ram is running@510 or so...
Do you understand the board difference now his 200 = your 100 for him to have the 536 then he would have to run at 400 which is the same as your 200

So strange how our boards are a model apart and set up differently. I'm glad you have the same board as Iced and showed me there is difference between your board and mine. Obviously I didn't think they could be that different.

My X2 3800 on my A8N32-SLI Dlx board divider is set @ 166 for 208Mhz (400ddr running at 416Mhz) (250x10 FSB for 2500mhz).

The Asus A8N-SLI Premium has DDR dividers, meaning "400" in bios for ram speed is equivalent to 200 FSB.

My idle temps are as follows CPU- 28C (be about 26C in my room) 34C Load
M/B - 27C (will be 22 in my room)
Im at 2.8 (255 x11) and my ram is at 200 (lowest it will go) so i havent even started tuning my ram yet

Is this good or is this average? im still guna keep goin with my fsb until it dont boot, then i will play with the Vcore and RAM

O yea my cpu is at 1.4V stock
Ok back on subject....if your at a comfortable level...with your oc then raise your ram divider to 266 and see how it goes...try the timings suggested 2.5-3-3-7 and you can work from there...i would think you would be able to achieve 333 divider easily with a slight volt increase on your ram....

Sry i havent posted guys, was at work then muse concert last night, was awesome

Ok i will try my ram at 266mhz, 2.5/3/3/7 @ 273x11

Here is what im at now, 255 x11 with a x4 multi = 1020 fsb. it was prime stable for 5 hours with a max temp of 34C and an average of 32C.

So atleast im at 2.8 stable

Thanks for all your help guys rep + really do appreciate it

EDIT: Its also worth mentionin i was at 2.95 and my comp was running fine, however it failed after 3 seconds in prime

EDIT2: Ok guys tried 273x11 = 3003 and it didnt get into windows, rebooted after the windows noise. But if i lower it to 272x11 = 2998 it has posted looks like 3ghz is just too much to ask lol! but i rekon i could get there with more voltage and soem tweaking....shame its my first OC
