Thats a very interesting article. The R500 does not so appear powerful on paper, but it is so efficient that it can give an X1950XTX a run for its money. The RSX on the other hand is hardly more than a 7800GTX.

I always feel like it's somewhat difficult to compare a console to a pc part, including on the GPU side. The two platforms really are developed so differently it's tough to compare specs. Although I am a 360 fan, clearly, Sony and MS have both made some killer consoles here. I feel like Wii, although awesome, is in a different market than the 360 and ps3 so comparing it on any level is a waste of time. We'll see how it all pans out though.

I just don't understand sony's logic of making it hard on the developers. That means all multiplatform games are going to run like crap on the PS3.

You can hardly say they'll run like crap. So the specs are slightly exaggerated and some intangible. It's still a very good console. Some things PS3 will have better and some the xbox. It makes it more apparent that the PS3 is is more of a blu-ray player that plays games than a games console that plays blu-ray.

All I am saying is the ports from the 360 will not run good. this is already apparent with tony hawk project 8. It doesn't run on the ps3 good at all. Its also too bad its not a great blu ray player. I post on the AVS forum and a lot of people over there got it for a dedicated player and they are saying it is worse than the samsung player that is out. That player isn't great either.
