From what I've been reading around, Steam works well but a friend reported that Darksiders 2 had trouble running. There are also a few driver issues (Creative sound, if I recall correctly), but that's expected with all new OS. Most people are content with Windows 7 and don't see a need to upgrade if there isn't a substantial performance gain, but for $15 you really can't go wrong, even if you don't plan to install it for another few months when more software is supported.

Foobar 2000 and the steam games I been trying works good so far. Also Creative does have windows 8 drivers, I tried those to with the old X-Fi XG that I have laying around. it worked good, but the Digital output on it is damaged. Not related to the drivers. I haven't had any issues. But then I am using the 90 day Eva of windows 8 off microsoft site which should be the same thing.

Never really understood these 'upgrade' versions, do you need to have a registered version of Windows7 installed when you install the upgrade version, or will it install just like a regular version (e.g. after wiping the drive)?
Doesn't work for me, I tried it many times with different PC information but it always messes up when you have to enter your windows 7 Cd-key. According to slickdeals, there was a mistake earlier where they didn't even ask you to enter your windows 7 cd-key. I'm pissed off haha.

Would also like to know this.
