what is the best case to MOD - Page 2

I'd go find an old Lian Li case and go at it.

from my beginners point of view, IMHO very good moddable cases are Lian-li, since they're put together almost entirely with M3 screws or bolts, so you can easily dismount and rebuild them, aluminum can be more difficult to work with than steel. Other cases I had, CM Stacker01 had removable mobo tray for BTX swap but everyone used it for modding (I made additional USB/Audio/SPDIF holes...), I think most current "enthusiast" cases are designed to be more easily moddable than older models. On my Elysium I exchanged all rivets with M3/M4 bolts, but parts are assembled in a way that to remove mobo or rear ports tray you have to completely dismantle it.

This is kind of like asking "what is the best time of day?" There is no context for anyone to actually give good advice. Basically people are just calling out cases they like. Maybe give some details about the hardware you have/want to use? Or maybe some ideas about how you want it to look?

An old Dell Dimension case, they can be picked up for next to near nothing and they can house up to a mATX board inside. Also if you mess up you won't have to worry about loosing a huge investment.
