Has anyone seen the new imac? It would be cool if they make a new monitor (w/e they call it like the cinema display or something) that thin!
Anyone know if this is in in their near future plan?

i feel apple should really make some monitors. i hate every aspect of apple but if they are good enough i would consider getting one

I know

by no way could I afford 1000 bucks for a single monitor, but man if they made one that was 5 mm thin like their new iMac, well at the edge, but a monitor doesn't need soothe internals so I would imagine they could have a pretty thin monitor!

I wouldn't think so? It's not a Mac and they has sold it for years and years in the past..

Well if you ask me the biggest selling point of the new iMac is how thin it is compared to previous generations, if people can go out and buy a Apple-made display that is just as thin for about $300 less (doubt anyone would as for $300 extra they might as well get the iMac itself) Apple wouldn't sell as much iMacs if they made displays that looked like the new iMacs.

Well people on macrumors are speculating that a new thunderbolt display will be released shortly after tthe iMac goes on sale in December. I have a feeling it will only be thunderbolt and no input for displayport though. Has anyone had success connecting the thunderbolt display to the PC? I saw that they were able to do it on anandtech, but there were some issues.

newer asus motherborads include thunderbolt. and you can also buy thunderbolt adapters nowadays!
