I have the A10-5800K paired up with the ASRock FM2A75M-DGS. I dig it.

Alright, so a little update to the parts list, I will be making this an ITX build! ASRock just released an FM2 ITX board so I will be ordering that soon.

ASRock FM2A75M-ITX

Also I have decided on a case for this build finally biggrin.gif

Here's the video review:

So now that everything is set, I will start to order parts on Monday wheee.gif

ITX? Then even more will you want to consider the 65w A10-5700. That's not to say an A10-5800k would be a bad choice, it's just the heat output may be a bit much for such a small case.

And seeing how you're using some Samsung "wonder RAM", I'm assuming you'll be overclocking said RAM for optimal iGP performance?

I was actually taking that into consideration now, I thought about that when I was talking to someone earlier. I probably will end up switching it to a 5700.

Since the A10-5700 just came out it'll be a few days(2-5) before the combos come out for it, so it might be better just to use the a10-5800k+asrock mini-itx combo and underclocking/undervolting the apu(cheaper)

He already has the SSD, so that doesn't really matter. tongue.gif

Just remember that it's not a "K" model, so if you were planning on easy overclocking you may want to reconsider. Of course, being an HTPC build you may not see overclocking to be needed at all, so it's up to you.

He's also using a mini-itx board so he really shouldn't be doing any significant overclocking, even with good cooling.

I will not be overclocking the APU, just the memory! I also made note that is was not a K series, thank you for the reminder though redface.gif

Update to this thing.

I was able to get the Board and A10 in a ridiculously good deal at Frys for a whopping $140!

I was also able to get the Lian-Li for $60! $40 off at Newegg as of today!

I will also be looking for a good PSU for this now, I have a temp one at the moment but the build will be complete soon and I'll finally post up some pictures! thumb.gif
