It's not 12 Pixel Pipelines. It's 4 pixel pipelines with 12 pixel shader units (3 Pixel shaders x 4 pipelines) and 5 vertex pipelines. If you don't believe me go on ATI TOOL, Click settings and look down and it will say 4 Pixel Pipelines
For your problem, try uninstall drivers and reinstall. I recommend WarCat 6.10
. before you install the warcat, uninstall your current drivers than use Driver cleaner pro
to get ride of the other left behind files from ATI
