I never understood what's so great about swype functions in keyboard and it looks like she is playing fruit ninja.

It really boils down to preference. I can definitely type faster with the swyping gestures than I can with the traditional hunt and peck style with thumbs. Important thing is to just find something that works for your particular style .

I have been using SwiftKey 3 on my Samsung Epic Touch 4G for quite some time now and After I linked it to my Gmail, Facebook , Twitter and previous SMS messages that I have backed up. It is like it knows exactly what I want to say, when I want to say it. There has been a few times on occasion where I only have to type out 3 words and I was just pressing the prediction words at the top for the next 7-8. Great stuff, can't wait for this. Pair it with GO SMS Pro and you will be set for a long time. Now with the addition of Flow being tacked on, I can have the swype feature I have been wanting for such a long time now. Can't wait! thumb.gif

Don't know how this flew by, but go to http://www.swiftkey.net/flow/ to signup for the Beta access for SwiftKey Flow.

I generally find predictive text very annoying but this still looks impressive.

Swiftkey is great, but this ought to be reduced for Swiftkey customers. I won't pay full price for this again since it's essentially the same keyboard.

Have swiftkey, but infinitely prefer swype, it's just faster. Now that I'm on a new phone and swype is still in its learning phase, I might consider swapping to this, the swiftkey keyboard is definitely better for typing and it looks a bit better too. Depends if this launches before swype is done learning...

Typing on SwiftKey right now, it's hit or miss for me really. Sometimes it's great and extremely quick; other times I want to throw my Nexus down the stairs.

Saw this commercial last night, I'll give it a try, typing on a 7 in nexus isn't a pleasant experience.

Try out Thumb Keyboard, another good alternative for tablets.
Are you using SwiftKey X Tablet or phone version?

Tablet. I use it 95% of the time in landscape mode. Typing just isn't the greatest with big hands. I would say its a combination of the on screen home/back buttons and the keyboard itself. Frustrating trying to type while its auto correcting words I don't want it to and then your thumb accidentally hits the home button and you're back at the home screen. Infuriating when it happens multiple times in a row. Sit it down... and walk away. Breathe.

Some of the many reasons I would like to use their swype copy lol.
