This is of course not the real FFW, but still, bragging rights
You mention in the OP that we can use our own folding names and our own keys and not have to use a team name with seperate key...
How are you going to manage the stats with most ppl using their own folding names?
Im just interested in the logistics of that excercise.
You can check here to see everyone who is signed up, http://folding.axihub.ca/ffw_teams.php using the sign-up page: http://folding.axihub.ca/ffw_signup.php
As for stats, it gets broken down in to 3 categories:
- Overall points: all the points contributed by everyone who signed up + the generic team username
- Number of active folders: this means you have to actually submit a WU during the FFW, or provide proof if you chose to fold under the generic team username and passkey
- PPF: Overall points divided by number of folders, Points Per Folder
All the teams get ordered by each of these categories. The bottom team gets 1 point, up to 6 points for the top team in that category. All three categories get tallied up for your final rank. This is a much more basic approach then the Chimp Challenge, but a straight points race wouldn't work with the addition of 2P/4P rigs and servers.
My site does all the dirty work. This week will be working out any kinks. I already have it set up to automatically start the FFW on the actual date and end it in case something happens to me (let's hope nothing does).
