To be honest I don't get why people care about the higher resolution of the new iPads. There isn't really any benefit. You don't get videos over 1080p -720p right now and I personally don't like playing real games on a touch interface, so unless you are looking at a ton of high def pictures or love your high def UI it's not a plus.
That being said, the iOS app support is better than the windows RT app support.
