Does anybody know what was the bigest price of a single VGA on it's launch ever?

Can you believe that the price difference between 7950GT and 7900GT in 2006 was 3 to 2? Same core (G71), same memory speed (1.4 ns), and 7950GT just being factory overclocked with additional 256 Mb RAM? Those cardS who failed at stable OC were kept as 7900GT.. What BS, and people payed money for this.

The same with X1900XT VS X1900XTX - minimal difference in core and memory speeds, a matter of factory overclock, but the price difference was insane.

I can't believe people payed money for slightly higher frequencies when the type of core and RAM were the same.

8800 Ultra. Over $800 MSRP when it was first released. I'm sure you could find a dual-GPU card that cost more, though.

I was just wondering did you expected all of those video cards to appear per last 3 years?
It would be nice to hear from then and now... Was X1950PRO enough as you expected? He he..
How did you find this thread?
