iPhone 4s issue

I just got a 4s (refurb) for my wife from AT&T Tuesday.

She likes it except for the fact that she now gets quite a few "unable to connect" when making calls (like 25%). She rarely had this issue with her 3gs. Signal looks about the same holding a 3GS next to her 4s, so it does not appear to be a signal issue. Calls are being made from the same places as her 3gs, so not location.
Is this a phone problem and do I need to exchange it for another one?

Both my 3gs were refurbs and I never had any issues with them, so I had no issue with buying another refurb.

If it's still under warranty through AT&T ( not sure how warranty works with refurb models ), then i would definitely return it to see what they can do. It maybe during the refurb process, the antenna was damaged in some way.

Refurbs have a 90 day warranty and 14 days to return it and not pay a ETF or penalty.

I would return it then. If it's not working, then take it back and get a replacement. thumb.gif
