Hi, im no expert but just managed to get a FX 8350 working in my M4A89GTD PRO. Ive just ran a AMD Overdrive 'stability test' for 20mins, and it seems fine at 4ghz, I dont want to try higher (because im a noob, and have stock cooler).

I used to have a 1055t running at nothing less that 30% with 6 monitors full with java webpages (about 30 'level 2' trading tabs), i keep my pc on about 10 hours a day, so if i have any issues ill let you guys know. Im very impressed so far.

20min stability test below:

GLA

(note, i do have cool and quiet on, hence the low core voltage directly after the test)

check this forum for more info when cool and quiet is not running:

FYI
If you want a cheap and good 990FX AM3+. Look at a Biostar TA990FXE. 4.7ghz with my 8320.

Hi!

Someone could please test if AMD Virtualization Technology is functional with a Vishera over 890FX please?

Thanks.

App example:

If it works virtualization is ok.

Thanks a lot.

Goodbye.

I know it's a bit late, but I can confirm that FX 8350 works well on the ASRock 890 GX Pro 3. Haven't checked if turbo boost works properly or overclocked it. But at stock settings, works like a charm.
As long as it boots with Bulldozer, should boot with Vishera as well. For ASRock I mean, can't say that it will with other boards.

FX-8350 on 890FX (Asus M4A89TD Pro/USB3) with GTX580 SLI too!

But...

... I have two questions for you:
1) with Vishera should I raise also HTT or just CPU\NB as usual? With other words, is it any good to raise HTT? And how much?
2) why does BIOS tell me CPU\NB Auto Voltage is 1,6V? Is it just displayed wrong? Or is it really so high? (I don't think it's this last one because if I put offest at -0.2 and so 1.4V it won't boot so easily even with little oc). So what should I put to raise CPU\NB and target frequency?
+1) I have very high temps under Prime95... it gets to over 60°C in 1 minute and @69°C (max) in few minutes. I don't know why seeing I have Noctua DH-14 (CPU V-Core 1,45; CPU\NB VCore I don't know lol, see 2)).

Thanks.

Goodbye!

Anyway it is rocking biggrin.gif.

This is on question 2.
It did the samething with the Asus 890FX & FX-6100/8150/8320 that I tested.

Nice to hear that. I suppose so that it is just a visualization ERROR! (It can't be set @1.6V+ lol)

ROCK SOLID
with less V-Core Core 7 fails!!!

No throttling or whatever AT ALL! You can see that also through log file!
