Would you mind downloading and running this benchmark?

I couldn't be bothered to do more than 2 runs, was taking forever.

I got 77.34 fps for the first and 16.3 fps for the latter.

My point it that benchmark works better with HT off. I just find it odd how that will some how help the argument by all of us running that benchmark.

The op has already decided on 2011. I was just curious how much faster a 3930K was in that benchmark then a 3770K

the 3820 is cheaper and can be overclocked better, but either the 3930K, the 3770K, or the 2700K will oc better.

besides, the whole point of getting something as awesome as an 2011 based system is not having to oc for a few years.

also, the components that go with a X79 chipset is more expensive than a Z77.

so unless you are ready to spend a ton of dough go with a 1155 system.
