Need new Ram

Thread Starter
Hey guys, so one of my corsair sticks decided to take a dump and I am in the need of a new set of ram.

First question i have is....in the near future, I am planning on upgrading my current cpu to PD 8350/8320, should i get a set of 1600mhz or 1866mhz? Will there be a noticeable difference between the two?

Also what are people opinion on the Patriot Viper III? I'm limited to microcenter, frys, and compusa as I have issues with shipping and deliveries in my apartment complex(I have had numerous packages go missing and nothing was done in the end to resolve).

I am sitting between an 8gb set of either 1600 or 1866 patriot viper III(all 1.5v). Or 8gb set of 1600 corsair Dominator(1.65v) .

At $16.99 a piece, you'll want these.

By far the best value you'll find anywhere.

EDIT:
Saw your shipping problem. Amazon won't work for you?

Doesn't say when it will be in stock again, or the price of it.

thanks for the replies. I looked at the samsung ram but to be honest I am not planning on overclocking the ram very much. If at all. I was also looking for something that would go with the black/red theme of my computer.

Anyway, I ended up going with this set here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220737

Read a bunch online and havent really gotten anything negative on them, so i figured I would give them a try. Got the set at Fry's for the same price as newegg. Plus i had a 10$ off coupon.

Motherboard recoginized the memory at 1600mhz 8-8-8-20 1T(limitation on what speed phenom II can run natively maybe?) So i cranked up to the default 1866mhz. Timings auto filled themselves in at 9-9-9-24 2T voltage left on auto and is at stock 1.5v.

I currently have the computer at home running memtesk 86+ while I'm at work to make sure i dont have any faulty sticks.

Thoughts? suggestions? anyone else out there have any experiences with patriots memory theyd wanna share?

I'm running Patriot's Sector 5 modules, and they're excellent.
They're at 1875MHz, 9-10-9-27 2T with 1.59v. I haven't tried to overclock them at all because this PC is used mostly for gaming. No reason to go beyond this.
