2x 7900GS SLI vs. 7950 GT 512 - Page 2

I was saying that SLI only performs better at higher resolutions
anything under 1600x1200 will get its ass owned by the 8800GTX

this is not correct either...here, how bout we just compare benchmarks with people on OC.net (all benchmarks run in 1024x768), This is my scores compared to tubnotub1 (with a Core2X@3.2) with a 8800GTX OCd

The 8800GTX beats X1950XTX crossfire at every resolution, I'm pretty sure it can beat 7950GT SLI.

You are comparing a stock 8800GTX to a modified and overclocked 7900 SLI configuartion.

If one was to volt mod an 8800GTX as well as overclock it will 'smoke the pants off' any current SLI setup.

Ahahahah, I am so happy because of this. The depression that came with the 8800 was quickly solved when I realized that my card is clocked a lot higher than a stock gtx, and those smoke in sli the 8800 on the toms hardware reviews

The point im trying to make is that doing a volt mod would allow the card to reach much higher clocks.

LOL!

One more thing - Is a single 7950 GT 512 better than 2x 7900 GS in SLI?
