Hi

I bought Windows 8 Pro yesterday but I haven't installed it yet I didn't even really want to buy it as I was already happy whith Windows 7 Ultimate and also I couldn't be bothered installing it and sorting everything out but for £50 I thought I Might aswell buy it.I was looking through some rig's here and noticed hardly anyone has windows 8, Is this because basically it's crap and everyone's sticking whith Windows 7 or is it because most people here have it but haven't put it in their rig's.

I'm on Windows 8. No problems and pretty happy over here with the exception of two driver problems which I'm hoping to have sorted out soon as the company updates their drivers.

The conflicting problems are:
1) Creative Fatal1ty Champion Gaming Series: after rebooting, no sound even though sound says there is sound being output but nothing from my speakers.
Solution: Plug in a headphone on IO and I hear sound (OR) change from Game Mode to Entertainment Mode (and back if I want to) and sound is back.
2) Steelseries Engine: Works fine but unable to customize my mouse colors, cpi, etc. Not a big deal. Contacted Steelseries support and they said they should have a update in the upcoming weeks.

Probably they haven't updated their rigs on forums, I think checking out a Windows 8 thread would give you a estimate of how many numbers.

I bought it for $15 USD. I put it on my laptop since it just sits there unused mostly anyway. I figured for $15 having a valid windows license will be worth it. I'm going to try it with default settings and the Metro theme/display enabled at first.

I would suggest not doing that tongue.gif might give you a headache.
Just boot straight to Desktop (on Metro there is a "rectangular" button that says Desktop) and download ClassicShell/Start8/Pokki.

Thanks for getting back guy's, In the Windows 8 Pro box is there a 32 bit disc and a 64 bit disc because I can't be bothered opening the box yet. Also when I install it will all my stuff be there as it was on Windows 7 or for example I keep all my hip-hop music on iTunes & all my rock music on media player will my music still be on both of them as it was or do I have to add my music files back on to them.

If you do upgrade, they'll be there.

If you just upgrade then everything would be there as it was.
