id go w/ the COOLER MASTER V6 GT RR-V6GT-22PK-R1 120mm DynaLoop CPU Cooler w/ Universal bracket & Dual Fan

its a bit more but its got better airflow (more CFM then the 30 $$$ one, amd or intel socs so it can upgrade with you in the furture(in the ever changing PC world its best to spend a little $$$ to save more $$$ later, it is "on-sale" but its a coolermaster gift card so not really a on-sale item unless your in the market for more coolermaster stuff.

I looked into it and it appears it covers ram slots on some motherboards. Do you think it will cover the ram slots on my motherboard because that is something i do not want to live with.

i cant really say for sure but id ask Asus about the spacing from CPU soc to RAM slots on that board. People have replaced the fans with other led or higher CMF ones so if worse comes to worse you could look for a slim 120 for just that RAM side. It also would prob be best to replace them anyway. Stock fans rarely are better then the ones you can buy individually.

If you only have two sticks of RAM, you can always just use the slots that aren't closest to the CPU. If you think you want to go with 4 sticks later, then just get low profile RAM. Those tall heatspikes on the Vengeance don't do anything anyway. Either get the Vengeance LP or something else that is normal height.

This is a rout you could go casue gaming you dont need more then 8G and only 16G for high rendering (very rarely 32G). Tho RAM will work in any slot to get the most out of the RAM and not bottle-neck yourself they color the slots for a reason. His is a dual channel mobo and the order prob goes blue slots then black (look at the mobo hand book or call Asus).
