Nice. I've been watching you for the last 5 minutes with a Kit Kat and some Coke zero.

Good job killing them. :)

I believe cursing when dying is a global thing. I do that too :)

You must have pretty good bandwidth to stream at 1080p, haha.

you dont need good bandwidth as much as you just need to limit the bitrate of the video itself so that it actually is capable of being streamed on the twitch website. you need pretty good bandwidth if you want to stream 1080p so that people can watch it full screen wink.gif

People also need to have sufficient enough processing power / internet to watch 1080p without stuttering. Unless you're a partner of Twitch, all users are forced to watch in 1080p (partnered users allow viewers to swap between 1080p+, 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, 280p, depending on the streamer's settings).

sounds like it doesnt matter if they force people to watch in 1080p. not exactly the smartest setup. smarter to let the person broadcasting set the format of what they are streaming. i dont know much about twitch, i prefer using ustream.

No. The OP is streaming in 1080p, so therefore all viewers have to watch in 1080p. If the streamer sets his stream to 720p, then everybody watches in 720p and so forth.
The way around this is to be partnered with Twitch, and they will allow viewers to change between what the streamer is streaming at and below. It takes Twitch's resources to do this, so this is why not everybody has it.

Twitch is pretty good, I love it. Best streaming service out there and is probably the most popular one out there when compared to own3d.

Either way, 720p is pretty good. 480p is acceptable but not optimal.
My stream http://www.twitch.tv/zephik/videos streams at 720p because I feel that it is sufficient enough and in some games (SC2) i stream in 60fps which looks AMAZINGLY smooth especially on a 120Hz monitor.
