Amazon o-rings worth it? - Page 2

Though the ID of the o-rings are both 3/16", from the specs I read the Buna 008 50a o-ring has a cross sectional diameter of 1/16" while the WASD 40a o-ring has a slightly larger cross section diameter.

At any rate, did you find that the black and red o-rings performed the same or do you prefer one over the other?

My main purpose is to reduce key travel distance, I prefer the fast & hard feed back from the 2x 50a black o-rings. When I use 3? The actuate point is like 1mm, which is supa perfect! but keycap comes off lol. I'm still looking for thicker size 50 hardness rolleyes.gif
I use o-ring wrong lol



If the size is right, you can try. I brought some from geekhack groupbuy, from factory or something, they work great too.

I just happened to buy the exact o-rings shown a few days ago and just installed them. And they really do help. Everything is really quiet and feels nice and soft unlike when bottoming out without them. And the thing I like about the o-rings is that the sound when bottoming out the keys is consistent among all of them.

I ordered some of the Amazon O-rings over the weekend for my SS 6gV2 black. Hoping to quiet it up a bit and shorten key stroke feel.

Will post some photos and comments about them after i install them.
