Not "Just" Another Prodigy Mod
HELLO wave2.gif

I don't like blocks of text so here is straight to the point. Modding Bitfenix Prodigy to fit Matx rig and possibly more watercooling thumb.gif

PLAN:
  • Obtain Bitfenix Prodigy (check)
  • Get rid of old back panel (old mobo tray gone)
  • Make a new back panel/mobo tray
  • Fit in components including water cooling (working on it)
  • Hope that nothing leaks like last build madsmiley.png
  • Make it look good and take great pictures applaud.gif

Folding?

I would like to get into some folding as well... I believe it is for a great cause however I have no idea how :/

Other Notable Prodigys:

adamski07 and his one of a kind Prodigy MATX mod:
[Mod] Project Prodigious - Bitfenix Prodigy: MATX, SLI, Watercooled and more!

kHan x And his horizontal MATX Prodigy:
[Log] Project ProdigyX - BitFenix Prodigy, mATX X79, SLI, Copper Pipes

Fruergaard and his stunning SLI (perhaps first ever) Prodigy mod:
Build log of "Unobtainable" - X79 and Crossfire in a white Bitfenix Prodigy

This is what I have in mind so far for the build. Will be replacing the back panel to fit the Matx board (gene IV) will be mounting the PSU in the back like that so this way I have tons of room for any drives/cables I mount in behind. The rads are not confirmed yet as I would prefer to put duo 240mm rads in but until I get the case I cannot decide... And the res/pump on the back is also not set in stone yet but if it does go there I will make a bracket for it to rest on so its not just floating.

Feedback is welcome and needed cheers.gif

Looks great, can't wait to see this when it's finished.

1 suggestion, it probably wouldn't effect temps dramatically, but it might make them slightly lower if you ran your loop
"res/pump, CPU, front rad (140mm?), GPU, top rad (240mm?), res/pump"

Just a thought though, great build either way biggrin.gif

Yes it probably would lower the temps and I would like that too however routeing all of the tubing that way would be a disaster. They would cross over each other and in the end it would be alot of work. I will take a look at the model again but I cant make any promises tongue.gif

Thanks for the views guys and the subbs it means alot to me thumb.gif

Yeah it could be a little bit difficult.

Don't judge my rush photoshopping tongue.gif

What do you think of the tube routing?
Only 1 tube (GPU to top rad) goes across the board, the rest are off to the side or at least not in the way smile.gif

Don't mind the colours either, I was trying to make them stand out aha thumb.gif

Hmm yes it doesn't look too hard the only problematic place would be just below the pump but that should be no problem. At the moment I think I might just run the single 240mm rad not that I want to but because of funding frown.gif When I get all of my gear I will try it out though because it does look decent. Thanks for taking the time to do this for me thumb.gif Has been very useful for ideas that I now have Rep+
