Thanks and help appreciated.
you would also benefit better with 2 sticks of 4gb as using one stick uses half the bandwidth, and with 2 sticks it shares the bandwidth increasing performance, 1600mhz will only run at 800mhz per channel and so on

I have 2x4 GB of 1600 MHZ currently.
This occurs in single player not multiplayer, it has nothing to do with internet speed I believe.
The antivirus isn't updating otherwise it'll notify me it's updating.

My avp updates in the background, im currently running an amd fx 6300, 2x4gb gskils ripjaws 1600mhz, and a hd 6670 2gb ddr3 card and run bf3 on medium to high settings with very little lag on a 28" 720p hdmi tv, the only lag i get is the first couple of seconds of starting a new game on multiplayer but thats before i spawn lol

Based on the video, the lag may have been from sudden changes in lighting. That's the only thing I would think it could be.

Yea but the lag doesn't occur in that position only, it occurs in other positions and at random times.
So you don't think it could be a hardware issue?
Thanks.

I had extremely similar issue with my old hdd/e8400/gtx280 pc, in most games from what i remember. I would describe it as non-fluid gameplay, and it happened in tf2 and bfbc2. I dont remember specifics of what happened with hardware and so on but unfortunately the only thing that fixed it for me was getting a new pc. But since you already did that, i suggest use a fresh install of different os, preferably xp sp3, and install the game that you have problem with now, and nothing else, no av no browser nothing. Just fresh os, necessary drivers and the game. And if problem still persists, try using an ssd. Get a cheaper 64gb one and if it works fine keep it or upgrade it.

Thanks for replying. The gameplay isn't non-fluid actually and the gameplay is fine as long as it doesn't occur. It happens on random occasions and it's annoying when it occurs. It occurs mostly in Crysis where the stutters are the most.
An SSD is way out of the budget and I wouldn't consider a 64 GB SSD for my games, won't be near enough at all.
XP SP3? That doesn't sound like a good idea no offense xD.
I didn't entirely get a new PC but it's almost that, the only things that were left unchanged are case, DVD burner and the PSU.

Then change the psu. And i suggested using xp sp3 because its a lightweight os. You need to identify what causes the lag and that needs a base where you can start from. You can install w7 back when youre done. As for the ssd, i said get 64gb so you can try it out, did say you should keep it. If. Stuttering goes away then refund the ssd and youve identified the problem. If you dont listen to us and not try to do soms of the things we suggest then youre not gonna receive any more responses ....

why do you have V sync on ? that REALLY IS NOT NEEDED as far as I know it will drop your FPS and cause screen freezing unless you are experiencing frame tear or lack of smoothness you don't need it. try turning it off and see what happens.

do you here any beeps at start up on your POST? I doubt that it is a ram issue unless your freezing up and lagging while surfing the internet as well Possibly a PSU problem but I don't think so.

Have you tried uninstalling the video card and drivers for it reset the bios to factory defaults and reinstall the vid card and drivers ?

also have you updated the drivers for the NIC and have you tried a windows update.
