Is my monitor about to die?

Thread Starter
So I bought a new monitor recently, this: http://tinyurl.com/9l4s8la... It has been working just fine for around 2 weeks, literally no problems at all and perfect picture...

Then randomly just now this happened while watching a Youtube video, the lines just appeared on screen out of nowhere:

At first I thought my GPU just took a dump and restarted my PC to check it... Came back up and the lines were still there... I turned the display off and then back on and the lines were gone...

Just now was the only time this has happened and once again it is working fine right now... So was this like like a freak occurrence or should I prepare to replace this thing?

Thanks

it sould still be your gpu..try and take it out and run the onboard..also it could be your hdmi /dvi/vga cable..i would rule them out first..

It does sorta look like a dying monitor, I usually see the lines going the other way. From my previous tutorial:

Just as snitch has said though, should check another cable and video card to be sure. If that doesn't solve your problem, you should check out that wonderful tutorial in the sticky section biggrin.gif

do you see that in bios or post id try another cable and maybe another gpu to rule out the lcd as being bad.

This happened to me when I overclocked my GPU recently. Overclocked it too much, screen got split vertically. Make sure your GPU isn't being pushed too hard and it's temperatures are good
