WHAT IS COMMAND & CONQUER: TIBERIUM ALLIANCES ABOUT?
Command and Conquer Tiberium Alliances brings the battle to your browser in this epic strategy MMO. Compete or ally with your friends in a worldwide war for precious resources. Based in the Command and Conquer Tiberium story world, C&C Tiberium Alliances allows players to experience C&C in a brand new way. Using HTML 5 technology, players are able to access their game from any web accessible browser making this one of the first truly portable mmo strategy titles to hit the market.
When you start out you have to pick which side you want to play as, either the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) or the Brotherhood of NOD. GDI and NOD have been at war for years and more information about the back story can be learned by playing the other Command and Conquer games. The storyline itself from the past games doesn't play much into this game as it is more about the interactions between players and the new enemy called the forgotten which has populated all of the worlds and stands as a threat to both GDI and NOD. Whichever side you choose has their advantages and disadvantages but are pretty equal and neither side seems to have a significant advantage over the other and player alliances can have players from either side.
The point is to build up your base and collect various resources, build up some defenses and an strong army comprising of air, infantry, and vehicles in order to battle it out with other players and the computer based Forgotten. It is a very interesting and surprisingly fun take on both the MMO and RTS genres. It is free to play but you can pay for the ability to store extra resources or to give you more opportunities to attack. While there is an advantage for those who pay, there is no need to spend any money to take advantage of all of the games features and the best way to get familiar with them is by playing the game.
If anyone is starting out or in world 46 and needs an alliance to join, feel free to talk to me since the alliance Overpowered Gaming that I am currently a leader of is looking for new members and willing to accept even new players. Being a part of a strong alliance is very beneficial since it allows you to have a strong support structure to lean on if you need help taking down a certain base or even defending from an aggressive player.
